How to Pass DELSU Post UTME Exam
The following are effective tips for preparing and passing the Delta State University (DELSU) Post UTME exam;
- Choose the Right Course for your JAMB Score
- Know the Post UTME Format
- Build your Confidence by Studying
- Practice Past Questions
- Stay Updated on DELSU News
1. Choose the Right Course for your JAMB Score

Choosing the right course suitable for your JAMB score is the most important decision to determine your chances for admission.
Many aspirants make the mistake of applying for highly competitive courses with low JAMB scores, which would lead to not meeting the cut-off mark. It was my major mistake when I sat for the JAMB exam five (5) times.
For example, I have met a lot of applicants for Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc., with a JAMB score of less than 270. Of course, they sit for another JAMB, and the circle continues.
I know you dream of becoming a Nurse or lawyer. But it is your JAMB score that would determine if you should continue pursuing this dream or not.
Do not apply for competitive courses with a low JAMB score. Instead, apply for the Change of Course form and choose another course that will give you a better chance of gaining admission.
Also, ensure you have the correct subject combination for the course you’re applying to study. Any mistake could lead to forfeiting your admission despite meeting the DELSU departmental cut-off mark.
If you need further guidance or are unsure if your JAMB score suits the course you’re applying to, let me know in the comment. I will advise you.
2. Know the Post UTME Format

Knowing the Post UTME format is the best way to prepare for the screening exam to pass excellently.
The DELSU Post UTME syllabus contains all the topics you need to know for the exam. Like the JAMB syllabus or secondary school scheme of work, questions would not be asked outside this syllabus.
The Delta State University (DELSU) Post UTME is a computer test (CBT) exam with a hundred questions on Mathematics, the English language, logical reasoning, and aptitude.
Students write the same exam format irrespective of the course they’re applying to study. Also, ensure you get yourself familiar with this exam format.
3. Build your Confidence by Studying

Developing a good study routine and technique is the best way to build confidence in your upcoming exams.
As with every exam you have previously written, like WAEC, JAMB or NECO, you must study to perform well.
You may feel some exhaustion or distractions leading to your post-UTME period. But, it would be best to motivate yourself to prepare for your exams.
Usually, on the day of the Post UTME, many students panic when they see the number of students sitting for the exam.
They will begin to question their ability to pass the exam. But, with the right preparation, you can overcome this fear.
4. Practice Past Questions

The Post UTME past question is a good study guide for your exams. It will help you better understand the exam format and identify your weak points.
This past question booklet is a compilation of the screening exams over the past ten (10) years or more. It is an essential study material for students who want high scores.
However, you must not make the mistake of trying to cram the questions and answers in the past questions. It is not an effective study technique because you need to know the reason for every answer and not the other way.
I know the question on your mind is, how can I get this past question booklet? If you live in Delta State, you can get it at major bookshops or cybercafe Post UTME registration centres.
5. Stay Updated on DELSU News

It is necessary to stay updated on Post UTME news to avoid missing anything important. I have heard of students who missed the registration deadline or the Post UTME exam because of a lack of information.
This is not the time to completely isolate yourself. You need to interact with other aspirant to share ideas and stay informed.
Facebook and WhatsApp groups are the best online platforms for connecting with other aspirants. Ensure you join the relevant groups to stay connected.
