The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) profile code is a ten (10) digit number used for the UTME registration by candidates.
Without this code, you cannot register for the JAMB exam or create an eFacility profile account to perform any UTME-related activity like regularization.
The code is obtained through SMS and not online after sending a text message command, and the requirements for getting your profile code are;
- SIM card linked to your National Identification Number (NIN)
- Mobile Phone
- A sum of Fifty Naira (₦50) in your SIM card
How to Get JAMB Profile Code
- Open the text message app on your phone.
- Type “NIN” in capital letters, then space and type your eleven (11) digit NIN number, e.g., NIN 01234567890
- Send to “55019” or “66019“
- You will receive your ten (10) digit JAMB profile code.
- Go to a JAMB CBT centre to complete your registration
- Pay ₦4,700 to purchase the JAMB E-pin

- Open the text message app on your phone
- Type RESEND
- Send a message to “55019” or “66019.”
- Send a text message
- You will receive your profile code
Conclusion
The JAMB profile is unique to every candidate and does not change even if you’re resitting for another exam.
The code you may have generated before now is still the same when using it for any JAMB-related activities, like admission regularization.
Therefore, you cannot generate a different code or use another phone number to get it. In case of a missing SIM linked to your NIN, you must visit the NIMC office to update the mobile number linked to your NIN.
After getting this code, the next step is visiting any accredited JAMB CBT centre for registration.
