JAMB Regularization Procedures and Requirements 2025

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) regularization is a process that solves every problem associated with admission irregularities or mistakes by graduates and students.

The following are the reasons why you’d be required to regularise your admission;

  • NYSC Mobilization: Your name won’t appear on the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Senate List if your admission isn’t regularized.
  • Direct Entry Application: You’ll need a valid JAMB registration number and admission details for Direct Entry into another institution.
  • Official Recognition: It ensures your admission is officially recognised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
  • Addressing Errors: It helps correct any errors in your admission details.
  • Obtaining JAMB Admission Letter: Regularization allows you to obtain an official JAMB admission letter.

The process for admission regularization is done by your school where you’re currently studying or graduated, and at the JAMB office.

  4. Submit the Form to your Institution

    Complete the form with your correct details and submit it to your school’s Registrar’s office for an official stamp.

  5. Return to the JAMB Office with the Approved Form

    The next step is to submit the approved indemnity form by your school to the JAMB office for final approval. In some situation, your institution would be responsible for submitting the form to the State JAMB office on your behalf.

Note that it could take up to six (6) weeks for your regularization request to be approved by JAMB in Abuja. You can always notify your school admission office for updates on the progress.

Also, depending on the problem you have with your admission, you may not be required to get an indemnity form from the JAMB office. Your school’s admission office can sort out the problem.
