The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) sets a minimum cut-off mark of 140 for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Getting a low JAMB score below 180 is a sad experience because you would not be qualified to apply to the most lucrative courses, like Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.
Don’t lose hope just yet! The good news is that no matter your UTME score, provided it is above the general cut-off mark of 140, you stand a chance of gaining admission.
For this reason, I have decided to make a compilation of schools you can apply to with your JAMB score.
To get more specific advice, let me know your JAMB score and the school you applied to to get my recommendation. I would love to assist you.

Can I study theater art or mass communication with the score of 188 at UNN
Enweremchi,
Your JAMB score is low for both courses. You will have to apply to a lesser competitive course.
