Determine Your Admission Chances

Evaluating your JAMB score and meeting the O’level requirements for the course you want to study is the first step to gaining admission to Olabisi Onabanjo University.
OOU uses JAMB and Post-UTME scores to calculate the aggregate score and determine cut-off marks. It means that the higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of gaining admission.
If you have a low JAMB score and aspire to a competitive course, like Medicine, Pharmacy or Law. You will need to change course because you will not get admission. Feel free to let me know in the comments if you are unsure whether your JAMB score is suitable for the course you want to study at OOU.
Another requirement is having the necessary five (5) O’level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) results for the course you’re applying to study.
For example, if you’re applying to study Nursing Science, you need the following subjects;
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Physics

There are no special textbooks required, as you can use the materials you used for your JAMB preparations.
But, sometimes, OOU can ask difficult questions that are A-level standard, like JUPEB questions. You must study hard and have a complete understanding of the topics in the subjects you are sitting for in the exam.
Another thing you can do is draft a personal timetable to ensure that you study at least one subject per day. It will help you get prepared for the exam.

Practising past questions is essential to getting a high score in your Post UTME exam. It will guide you to know the exam format and determine your level of preparation for the screening.
During your practice, you’d observe topics you find challenging, which would allow you to put more focus into understanding them. But, ensure you do not try to cram the answers in past questions.
