List of Universities Offering Pharmacy in Nigeria 2025

Pharmacy is one of Nigeria’s most lucrative medical courses for science students because of the diverse job opportunities, career options, high salary and prestige.

The course is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, which oversees the accreditation of pharmacy programmes in Nigerian universities and the general regulation of the profession.

It is necessary that whatever university you’re applying to for the course in your JAMB is accredited by this body.

The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria currently accredits twenty-five (25) universities to offer the course. Some schools offer the course as a Doctor of Pharmacy (6 years) while others run the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme (5 years).

Let’s go into the primary purpose of this article by listing the various institutions accredited by the professional body. Feel free to let me know in the comment if you have any questions or need further clarification.
