College of Health Technology is a tertiary institution in Nigeria that offers medical courses (2-4 years duration) and is regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
School of Health Technology and College of Health Technology are both the same. It depends on the name adopted by the institution you’re applying to study. But nowadays, many schools use College, Biomedical Engineering, Dental Technology, etc., because of their new advanced courses.
There are three (3) reasons why I recommend you should attend a College of Health;
- They offer courses that allow you to work in Nigeria and abroad.
- They are the best alternative to studying at the university for science students.
- You can go further to the university to get a degree.
Like you, many years ago, I applied to a School of Health for admission when I could not secure admission to the university after writing JAMB.
My main concern was if the courses offered at the school were accredited because you wouldn’t want to graduate and realize that the NBTE or professional body does not officially recognize the school or course study.
